Shu Lin Grandpa

Matt Goodfellow - Personal Name; Yu Rong - Personal Name;

Shu Lin’s Grandpa is a children's picture book that tells the story of Shu Lin, a young girl who has recently moved to a new country and finds it difficult to communicate with her classmates because she does not speak English well. At school, she feels lonely and misunderstood. One day, her grandfather visits her classroom and shares his traditional Chinese painting. Through his artwork, he expresses stories and emotions that transcend language barriers. The students begin to appreciate Shu Lin’s culture and realize that communication can happen in many forms beyond words. The story highlights themes of cultural diversity, empathy, understanding, and the power of art to connect people from different backgrounds.
