The Witches

Roald Dahl - Personal Name; Quentin Blake - Personal Name;

The Witches is a dark fantasy novel that tells the story of a young boy and his wise Norwegian grandmother. The grandmother warns him about real witches—who don't wear pointed hats or ride broomsticks, but look like ordinary women while secretly plotting to destroy children. While staying at a seaside hotel in England, the boy accidentally stumbles upon the annual meeting of all the witches in the country, presided over by the terrifying Grand High Witch. He discovers their diabolical plan to turn every child in England into a mouse using a "Formula 86 Delayed Action Mouse-Maker." Though the boy is eventually transformed into a mouse himself, he and his grandmother must find a way to stop the witches before it is too late.
